The only people around here seem to be in the very numerous transatlantic planes hardly disturbing the calm nature. But even here, the background humming of 'the rest of the world' does not leave us alone. I wonder how many passengers are even aware that there is something so beautiful under their feet. Rob by the car. The country was yellow all over, covered by these flowers that smell of coconut! amazing :)

This is the Kylemore abbey! We found it again after stopping last summer. Is it better in the rain and mist or in the sunshine? Welcome to Connemara. Amongst the stone walls and the abandoned farms, sheep make their way in the arid mountains and lakes towards beaches that could compete with the finest of carribbean gems.
