During a "bread-and-butter" run in January, getting IDs for 9C sources on the Palomar 60-inch telescope, type
Ic supernova SN2003L decided to go pop. Alicia Soderberg asked me to do some
imaging, from which I made this pretty picture. This is close to true
colour: red channel is R band, green is V band, and blue is B band.
