HARP-B Receiver for the JCMT

The HARP-B receiver is a 16 element array for the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope.

The Detector Physics group is designing and building the Imaging Array Package consisting of sixteen SIS mixer blocks followed by cooled, low noise amplifiers. The Local Oscillator is fed to each mixer by a 'meander line' injection system.

Some pictures of the HARP-B array frame and mixer blocks.
