ACT Data Products - 148/218/277 GHz Galactic Source Catalog

Description

This is a catalog of Galactic sources detected by the Atacama Cosmology Telescope at 148, 218, and 277 GHz along the celestial equator. Flux density calibration uncertainties for unresolved sources at 148, 218, and 277 GHz are 3%, 5%, and 15%. For full information see Gralla et al (2019), “Atacama Cosmology Telescope: Dusty star-forming galaxies and active galactic nuclei in the equatorial survey”.

The file act_equatorial_galactic_gralla_v1.txt is the catalog associated with the submission and initial arXiv version of this work. There may be an updated version with final publication. The file is a human/machine-readable fixed width ASCII table. The table can be read into Python using the astropy.table.Table object with the following command:

catalog = Table.read('act_equatorial_galactic_gralla_v1.txt', format='ascii.fixed_width').

E1 Raw 148 GHz flux density error (Jy)
S2 Raw 218 GHz flux density (Jy)
E2 Raw 218 GHz flux density error (Jy)
S3 Raw 277 GHz flux density (Jy)

alpha_12 148-218 GHz spectral index from raw flux densities
alpha_23 218-277 GHz spectral index from raw flux densities
CO CO(2-1) line proxy: alpha_12 > 1, alpha_23 < 1 
extended_index Extended source indicator
extended_percentile Percentile of Extended index with respect to index of known point sources
neighbors Number of detections within a 0.5 degree radius of source
neighbors_percentile Percentile of neighbors with respect to neighbors of randomly located positions
