SPT-3G Data Products

SPT-3G 5-Year Main Field Catalog



A catalog of galaxy clusters selected using the thermal Sunyaev-Zel’dovich (SZ) effect from 5 years of observations of the SPT-3G Main Field. Cluster Catalog

Column Description
SPT ID: Cluster name in the format SPT-CL JHHMM.m-DDMM.m, except for clusters published previously with SPT designation, which are labeled as SPT-CL JHHMM-DDMM to be consistent with previous IAU naming scheme
RA: Right ascension (degrees)
DEC: Declination (degrees)
XI: SPT detection significance
THETA CORE: Filter core size corresponding to detection
YSZ: Integrated Comptonization measured within 0.75'
YSZ_UNC: 1 sigma Uncertainty on integrated Comptonization measured within 0.75'
PS FLAG: (1) if cluster within 4' of a bright source > 6 mJy at 150 GHz, (2) if ySZ measurement impacted by nearby source/massive cluster, (3) if both
REDSHIFT: Redshift
REDSHIFT UNC: Uncertainty on redshift
REDSHIFT SOURCE: Source of redshift (spectroscopic, MCMF, Spitzer, etc.)
SPECZ: Binary, 1 if redshift is spectroscopic, 0 if not
SPECZ REF: Bibliographic reference for spectroscopic redshift
M500C: Mass, units of 10^14 Msun/h70
M500C_UERR: Upper 1 sigma uncertainty on the mass estimate
M500C_LERR: Lower 1 sigma uncertainty on the mass estimate
LAMBDA: MCMF richness (where available)
LAMBDA_UNC: 1 sigma uncertainty on MCMF richness
FCONT: Contamination estimation for structure associated with redshift assignment
MCMF_MASK1: Fraction of optical data within 1' masked in MCMF analysis
MCMF_MASK2: Fraction of optical data within 2' masked in MCMF analysis
LOS: Binary flag identifying systems with multiple significant optical/IR structures along the line of sight
LAMBDA2: Richness estimation of secondary structure
LAMBDA2 UNC: Uncertainty on richness estimation of secondary structure
REDSHIFT2·: Redshift estimate for secondary structure
REDSHIFT2_UNC: Redshift uncertainty for secondary structure
FCONT2: Contamination estimate for secondary structure
STRONG_LENS: Gravitational strong lens flag, (1) Optical strong lens flagged by our visual analysis, (2) Strong lens from the literature, (3) if both.
STRONG_LENS_REF: Bibliographic reference for strong lens
DSFG_FLAG: (1) if DSFG within 30'' of SZ centroid, (2) if ySZ potentially biased by dusty signal, (3) if both
