Here's
some of the class at the beginning of the presentation.
Hello,
everybody!
What
an excellent earth and sun! They're orbiting perfectly!
Students
looking at pictures of a model balloon launch. Soon
I'll have pictures of the real thing for you!
I'm
pointing to the telescope. This telescope works
by using mirrors (instead of a lens) to focus the
radiation.
You
can see the telescope balancing on the top of the
balloon if you look carefully at the poster.
The
Extreme Cold Weather gear seems to be a little long
in the sleeves for our volunteers!
The
sunglasses were kept in that little bag. Did anyone
else think they were supercool?
A
student looking through the filter. Filters work
like sunglasses to sort the different types of radiation
(visible light, microwave, ultra-violet, infra-red,
radio, etc.).
Everybody
tries on a little something.
Here
I am answering some questions. Make sure to keep
asking questions!
Some
tete-a-tete.
