We have used 
maps with subdegree resolution to obtain the
angular distribution and amplitude of galactic free--free emission. Our main
conclusion is that there is very little power in the emission on small angular
scales, and hence galactic free--free emission is unlikely to be a major
problem for sensitive subdegree angular scale CMB experiments even at low
frequencies.
