Today
was a condition 2 day for Willy Field and condition
3 for McMurdo. The shuttle in to Willy Field was
delayed and only for key project personal. Bob and
Rene bravely went out to the lab and Eun and I stayed
back in McMurdo. While I am stuck here, I thought
I would take some pictures of some of the buildings
and their insides to give everyone some idea of
what it's like living at McMurdo, Antarctica.

This
shows how much they're into recycling. Everyone
of these bins is for a different item, such as aluminum
cans, light metals, heavy metals, burnables, food
waste, construction debry, plastics, dorm products,
and glass to name a few. Everything must be sorted.
You will all learn about this when you arrive. You
are required to take a waste management course when
you get here.
