Moonrise over TOCO

MINT will observe from the same site as MAT on Cerro Toco in the Chilean Atacama desert. The telescope will run at an altitude of 17,00 feet while the humans will reside at a survivable 9,000 feet in the town of San Pedro.

There is considerable interest in the area, as the ALMA array will be nearby. There are already numerous websites about the location:
