Parts list

  • Circuit Board
    • 13.1" by 13.1" 2-layer 30 mil Duroid 6002 Fabricated by Filtran Micro
    • 8 3-layer low frequency Jumpers and 1 high frequency Jumper
    • Epo-tex H20E by Epoxy Technology, the standard conducting epoxy paste
    • e4110, a more viscous epoxy, better fot lamination but slightly more dangerous. We ended up not using this in the final version
  • Components
    • 13 MaCom SMA-Microstrip Launch 2052-1133-00
    • 8 SKY-60 or SKY-60LH Minicircuits 2.4-6.0 GHz mixers
    • 8 MiniCircuits ERA-5SM or HP INA 02186 Surface mount amplifiers
    • Thin Film Resistors: There are many manufacturers and sizes that are available. Generally, the smaller they are, the better the microwave performance. We used 50x50 mil and 60x40 with no significant difference. It is very important, however, that Thin film resistors be used. These are approximatley 100 times more expensive than regular thick film chip resistors.
